Washwheel Mill
Washwheel Mill is situated about 2/3rds of the way down the valley and was used for bleeching and dyeing. This is one of my favourite images of the mill.
Summer is the quietest time for me in the valley - many of the archaeological remains are covered over with grass and flora and fauna, and the valley takes on a different character.
I always make a couple of trips in the summer just to check on things - but in the meantime over the next few weeks every now and again I'll be showcasing some of my favourite images from the valley, starting with this image of Cheesden Lumb Lower Mill
